I am planning a few weddings this summer in Burlington and they’re all taking place outside. Does anyone know of a reliable tent rental company in Burlington that offer clean, well maintained tents? I will be using them a lot through out the summer so I want a reliable company.

If you’re looking to build a relationship with a local company, give Burlington Tents and Events a call. I’ve been working with them for a while now and they never let me down. They got a lot more then weddings tents also. If you need chairs, tables, and all that other wedding stuff you can find it on their website.

My best friend’s wedding tent cost $ 500. But as far as the other things, you may just need to call around and ask for the rest.

I don’t know what brand is best, but I would get one that has 2 sections. You keep extras in the first section, like coolers and such and then the back section is for sleeping. It also helps keep mosquitos out of the sleeping section if they have to make it through 2 zippers instead of just one.

Does anybody know where to find those large canopy, carnival-style tents like you see at the fair or outdoor evens to keep the insides almost free of water? They’re usually white and tie down to the ground. I’m looking for a quite large one, not the smaller ones. I need it to have a high top too. Does anybody know where to BUY these (not rent)?

I have an area of land that is ideal for a camp site – it is near Sedgefield, County Durham. How do I go about making it into a campsite for caravans, tents, motorhomes, trailertents etc? Insurance, planning permission etc? Any advice appreicated!

“Mountaineering” tents are designed to be used at high altitudes in extreme conditions, such as high winds and heavy snow fall. Properly staking and guying out your tent, as well as proper tent design (fly must attach to poles, not just lay on top) are essential to surviving high winds. Here’s some from REI:
